Il Ritorno celebrated its five-year anniversary on downtown St. Pete's 400 block last week.

Early next year, Il Ritorno is prepared to start serving its modern Italian cuisine on Sundays. The change will take effect Jan. 7 and will allow owners Erica and chef David Benstock to fulfill their constant requests for reservations and private parties.

The downtown St. Pete restaurant, which celebrated its five-year anniversary on the 400 block last week, plans to operate 5 p.m. to close Sunday, unless there's a private party.

Il Ritorno will also be closed for the Super Bowl. But, still — Happy New Year indeed.
