Well, that all escalated quickly. Yesterday, Florida moved into Gov. Ron DeSantis’ “Full Phase One” reopening, allowing for restaurants to operate at 50% capacity.

Dozens of local joints went for it, and one of downtown Tampa’s most scenic spots, Sail Plaza (formerly known as Sail Pavilion) reopens on Thursday, May 21 at 11 a.m.

That means you can enjoy Big Ray’s Fish Camp in the sun, while spaced six-feet away from your closest neighbor.

Sail, located at 333 S. Franklin St. next to the Tampa Convention Center, is also requiring all staff to wear masks and has plans to sanitize furniture, equipment and restrooms regularly. The bar itself won’t be open, but patrons may order drinks with their food orders.

Another Sail Plaza measure: A two-drink maximum (so no getting twisted while camping out by the water).

Sail’s new hours are 11 a.m.-7 p.m. daily.

You could check out this now outdated reopened restaurants blog, but then you’d be missing so many restaurants that’ve opened since we first opened it.
