Tampa Bay Club Sport will kick off its 2015 Bar Olympics Series from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Ferg's. The downtown St. Pete sports bar will function as the tournament's first of four stops.
Teams, composed of four members, will battle it out during a handful of drinking games — including cornhole, beer pong and flip cup — for a complimentary trip for four to the South Florida Club Sport's Bar Olympics in Fort Lauderdale next year.
The cost to compete is $100 per team. After Feb. 18, the price will increase to $120.
When the first round concludes, top-scoring teams will earn prizes, and each group will be awarded points toward their final totals. The grand-prize trip, which comes with airfare and hotel, will be granted to the team who has the highest score after all the stops.
While drink costs will be covered throughout the competition, teams will also receive four free beverage tickets.
