I loved Black Friday. When I was a teenager, I wanted to be a teenager in a John Hughes movie (yes, I was a teenager in the ’80s). I’m a not a teenager anymore, and I don’t buy presents from The Man, either, so Black Friday has no power over me.

But you know what does?

Tampa’s Brew Bus Brewing. I love that place.

I also love that the Seminole Heights brewery will host Dark Door Friday from noon to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, encouraging people to skip shopping (consumerism, bad) and drink spirits (spirits, good).

And if shopping on Black Friday is hard-wired into your brain, no worries. You can buy some bottles of Dark Door Spirits’ Spirit of Prohibition and Spirit of IPA to stuff in a stocking. Or, you know, crack it open when the inevitable Christmas dinner political discussions ramp up.
