Winter Whiskeyfest, now in its second year, wants downtown St. Pete to drink the water.

The water of life, that is.

From 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, festgoers sample more than a dozen whiskey selections at Red Mesa Events' La Florida Ballroom, along with light bites (think ceviche and steak crostini) and live tunes.

Kozuba & Sons Distillery whiskeys White Dog and Mr. Rye, Dark Door Spirits and American Freedom Distillery's signature bourbon, Horse Soldier, are the featured local brands. Other options include WhistlePig, Monkey Shoulder, Old Forester, Tullamore D.E.W. and Michter's, plus a few spirits that aren't in the whiskey category.

A portion of the Winter Whiskeyfest proceeds goes to Metro Wellness & Community Centers.

Tickets, priced at $75 in advance and $85 at doors, are up online.
