Mastry’s Brewing Co. has, appropriately, dubbed its latest beer: Serve Ace-Ahhh.

The St. Pete Beach brewery’s Mexican-style lager with a punny name is meant to honor Beach Bums — the volleyball organization, that is — and their “refreshing style.” Throughout the region, nearly 3,000 members belong to the organization, which was founded in 2014.

To create Serve Ace-Ahhh, a flaked-maise base, lagered for six weeks, with Florida grapefruit and locally harvested sea salt was used by the Mastry’s Brewing crew.

The new 4.7-percent beer will soon be available on tap at popular destinations in St. Pete Beach, Gulfport and downtown St. Pete.
