Bradenton-based Motorworks Brewing has answered a nationwide invitation from California brewery Sierra Nevada. Last week, Sierra Nevada asked breweries across the country to brew a benefit beer to raise funds for those impacted by the Camp Fire, the deadly wildfire that broke out near its home base of Chico earlier this month, and Motorworks Brewing plans to do just that.

Using the original Sierra Nevada recipe, Motorworks Brewing will craft the collaboration IPA, dubbed Resilience, on Tuesday, Nov. 27, offering the beer on tap once it's ready. Proceeds from every pint sold support the Sierra Nevada Camp Fire Relief Fund, which was established days after the fire.

"Although Chico and the Sierra Nevada brewery were spared, the Camp Fire has devastated neighboring communities where many of our friends, families and employees live," said Sierra Nevada founder and owner Ken Grossman in a statement. "This community has supported us for 38 years and we're going to do everything we can to support them back."

Details on the exact release date of Motorworks Brewing's version of Resilience will follow in the coming weeks.

"Motorworks Brewing is proud to lend a helping hand in this nationwide collaboration effort," the brewery said in a news release.
