Brandon's Craft Beer Cellar changed its name to FR Bottle Shop

Thankfully, the one-of-a-kind brews haven't gone anywhere.

FR Bottle Shop is now the craft beer store and bar formerly known as Craft Beer Cellar. Part of the Providence Square shopping plaza, Brandon’s go-to source for one-of-a-kind brews — which opened nearly five years ago — has changed its name “to reflect better on what our shop actually provides.”

“There is no cellar, but there is definitely a lot of cold storage, and many amazing beers on tap,” wrote FR Bottle Shop in a website announcement Dec. 6.

“FR” stands for Fermented Reality, which makes sense, considering FR Bottle Shop owner Joel Bigham is also one of the two founders behind the Fermented Reality Biergarten in Tampa. Bigham’s open-air biergarten, ICYMI, debuted at Sparkman Wharf with a Florida-driven draft selection last month.

In addition to serving thirsty customers with bottle sales to-go, FR Bottle Shop has its own rotating, 12-beer tap list for them to enjoy in an intimate setting.

“We will continue to focus our lens even tighter on the kinds of unique beers that you won’t find at the grocery store or your local super store. Our goal is to provide you with a one-of-a-kind experience that will keep you coming back!” the announcement continued. “Come in and see what’s changed since your last visit!”
