Though we are about four months away from Girl Scout cookie season, you can get your fix of some decadent desserts inspired by the famous cookies this Friday at the InterContinental Hotel at 'Dessert First'.
This event will showcase pastry creations by some of Tampa Bay's top chefs that utilize different Girl Scout cookies we all know and crave. From Thin Mints to Samoas, just about every cookie will be represented by a cake, cheesecake or some other sweet incarnation of the original treat. Guests will get to sample each dessert and vote for their favorite. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will also be served.
All proceeds from the ticket sales and the live and silent auction items will benefit the nearly 24,000 Girl Scouts of the West Central Florida Chapter.
