Tampa-based Burger 21 wants you to think pink throughout October. The fast-casual gourmet burger franchise's Sweet Pink Sweepstakes runs all month long to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
For diners, Sweet Pink means that all Burger 21 milkshakes — no matter if they go strawberry shortcake or chocolate peanut butter — are topped with pink whipped cream. Twenty-one cents from their purchase of a shake is then donated to the featured charity, which helps those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services.
Anyone with the restaurant's loyalty app who buys a shake and scans their receipt is also entered to win free milkshakes for a year (hence the whole sweepstakes thing). Burger 21 locations nationwide will host their own sweepstakes, and winners are chosen Nov. 1.
In other Burger 21 news: There's a new one going in at 3201 Fourth St. N. in St. Petersburg, where JusThai has closed. Be on the lookout for an opening date.
