Eating with the seasons: Florida fall produce guide and recipes to try

With the fall season comes cooler weather (by just a bit) for us here in Florida, as well as a bounty of fruits and vegetables to eat. Here's a list of the produce in season in the Sunshine State followed by some great recipes written by our food contributors from the CL Cookbook to use it in.

Remember: Buy local as often as possible and eat with the seasons!

Early fall produce:

  • asparagus
  • broccoli
  • cabbage
  • eggplant
  • green beans
  • mushrooms
  • pears
  • peppers
  • radishes
  • sweet potatoes
  • tomatoes
  • watermelon
  • winter squash (butternut, acorn and spaghetti squash, pumpkin, etc.)
