St. Petersburg is on the “Eve” of welcoming another culinary option  this winter thanks to a new concept from restaurateur Shan Bakrac.

Eve (stylized in all-caps), a contemporary Mediterranean restaurant and late-night lounge, will open this winter. It joins Bakrac’s slate of restaurants in St. Petersburg, which includes Top Slice Pizzeria, Black Cattle Burgers, and the upscale Fortu.

Tampa Tomorrow says the menu promises elegant twists on classic Mediterranean dishes, such as pistachio-crusted feta, house ricotta, hummus, truffled risotto, caramelized cauliflower, hamachi crudo, bluefin tuna, braised beef short rib, dry-aged wagyu, black cod, olive oil-poached grouper, and more.

The restaurant will also transform into a lounge on the weekends, with its hours expected to extend to 2 a.m.

Designed by acclaimed designer and interior architect Mark Alan Diaz, Eve is set to pull no punches with its new 5,600-square-foot location within the newly built Galaxy Hotel (101 3rd Ave. N).

“I am excited to introduce my latest venture, Eve, a contemporary Mediterranean restaurant located in the heart of downtown Saint Petersburg,” Bakrac wrote on social media. “I am grateful for your support and look forward to expanding into the Tampa market soon.”

Restaurant-goers in St. Petersburg can view renderings of the restaurant’s interior and exterior and stay up-to-date on the restaurant’s opening by following @evemediterranean on Instagram.
