Fast food news: KFC's DoubleDown gets revamped, Friendly's Grilled Cheese Burger Melt, and websites dedicated to all the horrible things we ingest

"It combines a savory boneless chicken filet with a sweet Hawaiian Bread bun for a one-of-a-kind sweet and savory taste. The Original Recipe Doublicious includes an Original Recipe filet topped with bacon, Monterey Jack cheese and Colonel’s Sauce. The Grilled Doublicious is a grilled filet topped with Monterey Jack cheese, lettuce and honey mustard BBQ sauce."

I can't wait to see the nutrition facts on that one.

[image-1]The restaurant chain Friendly's doesn't want to left out of the super unhealthy sandwich trend either, so they've just unveiled their Grilled Cheese Burger Melt. It's basically three sandwiches in one (copying the McGangBang?): a Friendly's Big Beef Burger in between two whole grilled cheese sandwiches. This monstrosity will also buy you 1500 calories (870 of those from fat); 79g of saturated fat; and 2090mg of sodium. Would you like a milkshake and fries with that, too?

And, inspired by these heart-stopping, artery-clogging articles of American fast food, I leave you with these: This is Why You're Fat and This is Why You're Huge, two websites dedicated to everything that is wrong with food (namely, in America).

Bon appetit!

But wait, it's not just any old bun, the Doublicious will be served on a Hawaiian Bread bun. If you're wanting to (slightly) go a little lighter on the calories, it will also be available with a grilled chicken filet.
