Damn, Big Storm Brewing Company is really moving.
The powerhouse, Florida-based brewery expanded distribution to Ohio just last month and has added New Jersey and North Carolina to the distribution list just weeks later.
“With such great support from our local communities in Florida, we’ve had immense growth at Big Storm,” Big Storm co-owner L.J. Govoni shared in a recent statement. Shore Point Distributing Company, Inc. will handle the distribution duties in Jersey while Carolina Eagle Distributing heads up the operation in Carolina.
“We’re excited to share some of Big Storm’s top award-winning beers with consumers in both the Garden and Tar Heel States,” Govoni said. “Geographic boundaries come second to working with distributor partners who share our vision of the Big Storm brand, commitment to customer service and a love for the product. We feel both Shore Point and Carolina Eagle check all those boxes.”
Both distributors will sling Big Storm’s core beers, including Wavemaker Amber Ale, Tropic Pressure Florida Ale, BroMosa Tangerine IPA, Palm Bender Gulf Coast IPA, and Arcus Southern Pale Ale.
Other brews in the rotation will be the Oats In Hose Oatmeal Stout, Key Lime Shandy, Oktoberfest Lager, and Dunder and Blixem Spiced Ale for seasonal sips.
Selfishly, Floridians can be thankful that when we travel to one of the three new states in BSBC’s distribution chain, a pour from home won’t be out of reach. Not traveling anytime soon? You can hit one of the three taprooms in the area including Odessa, Clearwater and Cape Coral; or you can order a draft from a local bar that will more than likely have a Big Storm brew on tap.
