In Between Days, Florida’s first listening bar, is coming to St. Pete’s Grand Central District this summer.
Listening bars are known for having unique sound systems, but the music isn’t usually live. Instead, whoever’s manning the speakers chooses the music for the night.
The venue—located at 2340 1st Ave. S—will feature a vast selection of vinyl, but will also stream a few selections every now and then. The concept comes from the same bars that are popular in Tokyo, and have been gaining speed in New York and Los Angeles.
In lieu of live shows, In Between Days plans to host listening parties for new releases among the jazz, EDM and other genres the venue will boast on its own sound system, complete with a vintage pair of Klipsch La Scalas,
Music isn’t the only thing it's serving up, though. You’ll also have access to a selection of craft sakes, cocktails and small plates.
Details on the opening date are limited, but visitors can keep up with the latest from the small house venue on its website and Instagram.
