“Major facelift for Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Riverview complete” wouldn’t be the most intriguing headline ever written. However, the newly revamped location for this Irish-themed sports grill franchise — which opened its first restaurant in Brandon, FYI — does have a particularly interesting giveaway planned for its weeklong lineup of community events, a celebration that kicked off earlier this week and runs through Saturday.
Here’s the deal: After a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce on Thursday (yup, today), Beef’s plans to present one student with a college scholarship at 5 p.m. According to Beef ‘O’ Brady’s CEO Chris Elliott, the restaurant has selected one of its employees as the recipient. But shhh — her award is a surprise.
“She is an 18-year-old nursing student at HCC who has been a great employee, student and community volunteer,” Elliott said.
Additions made to Beef’s Riverview, located at 13326 Lincoln Road, include 27 65-inch TVs and 20 tap handles, plus a gutted and redesigned patio, game room and banquet room.
In conjunction with its refreshed restaurant design, the family-friendly chain has also updated several dishes based on customer demand; grilled shrimp and chicken, a five-cheese burger, and a $9.99 fajita special on Thursdays are among the new options.
