Tap into your inner Kobayashi to snag the cash prize for The Heights' Hot Dog Eating Competition during the Heights Fourth of July Festival.

Local comedian, Chuck Glass will be hosting the dog war.

At 4 p.m., Thursday, July 4, the competitors will meet at the center of the Yuengling Riverfront Stage at Armature Works.

Tickets to enter the competition are limited and first come, first served. The winner will be crowned after downing the most dogs in five minutes.

The winner will take home the championship belt and a $500 gift card to Armature Works. Second and third place winners will each take home $100 worth of gift cards to Armature Works. All competitors will receive a branded T-shirt. 

Competitors can choose from all-beef dogs provided by Butcher n' Barbecue or vegan dogs provided by Dixie Dharma. 

It would be in your best interest to start practicing now.
