Tampa Heights' King State will release a new beer at ‘Halloween’ screening this weekend

Free nightmares for everyone.

Do all the “hipsters” filing into Tampa Heights scare the shit out of you? You might want to stay away from the corner of Floribraska Avenue and I-275 this weekend. King State — which opened this summer, bringing along with it coffee nerds and some of the best local beer this side of Hidden Springs — is hosting a movie night and seasonal ale release on October 19. John Carpenter’s 1978 classic “Halloween” screens outside, and there’ll be popcorn, cookies and munchies to round it all out. Admission is free, and so are your kids’ nightmares.

Sat. Oct. 19, 8 p.m. Free to attend, bring money for food & drink. King State, 520 E. Floribraska Ave., Tampa. king-state.com.
