On Saturday, Freshii's latest Tampa Bay location will make things official with a grand opening celebration. This nutritious newbie from the Toronto-based fast-casual franchise, which debuted in October, is part of the Shoppes at Boot Ranch at 654. E Lake Road.

Freshii is know for its diverse, customizable menu of health-conscious offerings. Options range from breakfast and salads to froyo and burritos. But the Metaboost Wrap (spinach, kale, field greens, goat cheese, mango, almonds, carrots, edamame, balsamic vinaigrette) and Oaxaca Bowl (brown rice, kale, avocado, beet slaw, black beans, corn, salsa fresca, crispy wontons, lime wedge, spicy yogurt sauce) are customer favorites.

Franchise partners Jamie and Greg Cole have an all-day offer — buy one, get one free entrees — planned for the bash, which begins with a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce at 10:30 a.m.

According to a statement from the Coles, they look forward to "making healthy eating more convenient and affordable," as does general manager Jason Rosenberg.

In addition to Palm Harbor, St. Petersburg and Tampa also have their own Freshii restaurants.
