For a third year, downtown Clearwater's Capitol Beer House will throw the funkified Rock the Block Party, commemorating its three-year anniversary and the start of cooler weather. The festivities kick off at 4 p.m. Sept. 26.

Family-friendly and free, the annual street festival will showcase local vendors selling their wares, a craft beer tap takeover, giveaways, live music and a beard and 'stache showdown. The competition plans to hold registration the day of, and prizes will be awarded to the victors.

While guests may bring chairs and blankets to lounge on grassy spots, coolers filled with drinks or food aren't permitted. A beer station will be featured outside in addition to Capitol's lineup of brews and wine, and many restaurants are also located near the bar.
