Insider scoop: The latest Hyde Park Village concept, Forbici Modern Italian will be making a quiet debut this Saturday, June 8 from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
No reservations will be taken, just walk up and get the very first taste of the new Italian joint prior to its official opening date of June 11.
Executive Chef Jason Saldutti will be presenting the new dishes from tapas and entrees to a number of Roman-style pies.
Forbici will be filling the need for a pizza shop in Hyde Park, and just two months after the restaurant opening, the eatery will introduce a quick-service pizza counter where customers can grab-and-go by the slice.
If you have time to hang, craft brews, cocktails and wines are on tap. Servers will also be pouring up house cocktails and glasses from a loaded wine list.
