Speciality grilled cheeses are stacked on the menu at Fo’Cheezy, the latest concept to land on St. Pete Beach. Celebrity chef and Food Network contestant, Robert Hesse, has launched his full-service brick and mortar to echo his food truck which you can find roaming around the ‘Burg.
The joint celebrated its grand opening at 6305 Gulf Blvd. over the weekend, allowing diners to chow down on signature grilled cheese sandos like the Cluck Norris “Ass Kickin Chicken” served with smoked gouda, aged cheddar, Nashville hot sauce, southern fried chicken, pickled red onion, dill pickles and cut slaw. Want something a little brighter? The Cheezy Caprese with buffalo mozzarella, provolone, whipped ricotta, basil pesto, bruschetta tomatoes, pickled red onion and balsamic syrup. Damn, this sounds like prime hangover food.
Other Fo’Cheezy eats include sides like a variety of tots (truffle, cheesy, loaded), cheese curds, mac n’ cheese, soups, and salads. If you still have room for dessert, you can choose from sweet treats like Dough Boyz made up of chocolate chip cookie dough egg rolls or Gimme S’more a vanilla custard brioche french toast dish served with fluff, nutella, graham cracker crumbs and Cocoa Puffs. There’s also a selection of handspun shakes like the Go Shorty - a strawberry ice cream shake served with Twinkies, strawberries, shortbread crumbs and topped with whipped cream.
Diners can dine-in or opt for curbside pickup. Hours for the joint are 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m.-3 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
