Grow Financial’s “Grow On Us” campaign is back this month, and it’s picking up the tab at local restaurants across Tampa and St. Petersburg from now until August 2.
This week, on Wednesday, July 14, Tampeños can get a free reuben-Cuban box from Cass St. Deli—that means the sandwich, chips, a pickle, coleslaw, a black and white cookie and a drink—on the credit union’s tab.
Up for grabs next week is a free “Hawaii Meets Champa Bowl” from Pacific Counter across the bridge in St. Pete on July 19.
Pickup for both the Cass St. Deli and Pacific Counter deals is at 10 a.m. Creative Loafing Tampa Bay reached out to Grow Financial to see how limited the quantities are and will update this post when we get more information.
And after that on the following weekend (July 24 to be exact), you can get a Tampa Bakery Box complete with a piña colada cookie sandwich, orange creamsicle macaron, key lime pie cupcake, confetti cookie and a black cocoa cookie from Wandering Whisk at 4505 Park Blvd N, suite No. 5. Pickup, again, is at 10 a.m.
To finish things off, Augustine’s Cheesecakes dishes red velvet, guava and key lime cheesecakes on July 30 and the Ice Dreammm Shop is topping things off on Aug. 2 with a large orange chocolate ice cream at both its Lutz and Wesley Chapel locations. Pickup on both days is at noon.
Grow Financial introduced this campaign last year in an effort to stimulate the local economy in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. This year it's keeping up the efforts to “serve people, not profit.”
