Have your disposable cup and eat it, too! New vegan edible cups are tasty and biodegradable

This product has received much positive attention for its potential to revolutionize the disposable cup industry, possibly eliminating disposable cup waste across the board. If as you sip on your drink, and nibble on your cup you find you are too full to completely consume your cup, it works wonders on a compost pile and is easily biodegraded. It seems like the miracle solution to party goers everywhere.

This is where the viewing audience comes in to play. The Way We See the World is asking for donations to help get their innovative project off the ground. They need help with finding prototyping and user testing, which are crucial before they can mass market the perfect biodegradable cup. They are offering an opportunity for everyone to have a hand in such a universally positive impact, and have even opened up a convenient online donation site. With each specific amount of donation, The Way We See the World promises to give back in different ways for the pledges.

Just think, a party where you don’t have to clean up hundreds of those red plastic cups that clog landfills and trash our planet. Instead, you can serve a traditional treat with the drinks you give your guests, not only serving them but serving the planet at the same time.

Imagine a world where the cups are entirely biodegradable. On top of that, in this world, those cups are actually edible. Even better: the edible, biodegradable cups are animal product-free. Sounds like a pretty sweet alternate universe. Well, this sweet green alternative to the plastic disposable cup is real. The Way We See the World has come up with a revolutionary new idea: edible Jell-O cups.

It all began when The Way We See the World entered the GSS Jell-O mold competition, and thus, the idea for Edible Cups was born. The cups are entirely biodegradable and are made from agar agar, making it vegan as well. The come in three different flavors at the moment: lemon-basil, ginger-mint, and rosemary-beet — flavored to compliment particular drinks that one might drink out of their Jell-O cups.
