September's monthlong Battle of the Burg(er) around St. Petersburg has come to an end.

More than 100 people feasted upon burger creations from 11 Grand Central District restaurants and voted for their favorites to determine the People's Choice vegetarian and meat winners: Community Cafe's Bella Burger and The Punky Burger from Punky's Bar & Grill. The Sweet & Savoury Sliders at The Queens Head and Love Food Central's Love Burger were the runners-up.

Judges of the fifth annual competition also determined two victors. Craftsman House took home first in the vegetarian category for their Craftsman Burger, and first place in the meat category went to Zaytoon Grill's signature Zaytoon Burger.
