Mixing modern digs with its notable musical legacy, Dunedin's new Fenway Hotel has targeted a September premiere at 453 Edgewater Drive.

The hotel is a historic Jazz Age icon that Tampa-based Mainsail Lodging & Development is redeveloping into an 83-room boutique property, and two food and drink offerings — HEW Parlor & Chophouse and Hi-Fi Rooftop Bar — are planned so far.

Though details on the concepts haven’t been released, here’s what CL knows: Hi-Fi overlooks Honeymoon and Caladesi islands on the Fenway rooftop, which is quite fitting. The roof is where the first Pinellas radio station kicked off its broadcasting in 1925 — hence why Hi-Fi’s name is a nod both to high-fidelity sound reproduction and to the quality experience that bellying up to the bar should be.

As for HEW Parlor & Chophouse, where extensive private dining and an open kitchen bar await, the word “hew” means to cut or chop. H.E.W. are also the initials of the hotel’s original architect, Herman Everett Wendell.

“The ability to improvise and play along have driven Fenway Hotel since the day it opened its doors,” reads a paragraph from the Fenway website. “Today, we channel spontaneity and creativity so that no two visits are ever the same.”

More insight into what guests can expect from the beverages and bites perhaps?
