We hope you don't have plans this weekend. Local caterer True Craft BBQ has joined forces with Riverview's miniature doughnut slinger, Remi's Minis, for what could quite possibly become the next viral food sensation.
How do you feel about bite-size barbecue doughnuts, served out of the Remi's 1963 Airstream at Winthrop Town Centre?
Yup, you read that right. Beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, the duo are set to top a delightful Remi's mini with brisket burnt ends smoked to perfection by True Craft, dressing the 'cue with sauce from Orlando-based Gentry's BBQ (which knows its competition barbecue) and honey butter.
Anybody else drooling?
During the collaboration event, which runs till 5 p.m., three-pack orders of the barbecue minis are available for $5 — while supplies last. That means you gotta get there early.
Added bonus: Each purchase includes a free three-ounce pour of something tasty. The previously announced pairing was a Cigar City Brewing beer, and although the plans have changed, True Craft and Remi's unveiled the new complementary pour: nitro cold brew.
We can get down with coffee and brisket.
