Negroni Week is so close we can taste it. Kicking off Monday, the annual cocktail celebration pays homage to the classic sipper's marriage of gin, Campari and sweet vermouth — as well as a one-of-a-kind variations on it — all while benefiting a bunch of charitable causes chosen by the participating venues around the globe.

But where should Tampa Bay tipplers observe Negroni Week locally? Here's a round-up of five places to nab a damn good one through June 10. If you don't find yourself near one of these hotspots, however, head to your favorite watering hole and ask the bartender to mix up a Negroni — a truly bittersweet symphony of flavor.

Anise Global Gastrobar Always crafty with its drinks, the swanky hangout offers the Red Light Negroni, made with Dutch spirit Bols Genever ("Red Light" is a nod to certain areas of Amsterdam). Another fun take with Bulldog London Dry Gin, Campari, tawny port and peach bitters is finished with a dash of Stiegl Radler. That's a yummy twist worth ordering. Anise's proceeds benefit the Crisis Center of Tampa. 777 N. Ashley Drive, Tampa. 813-225-4272, aniseglobal.com.

Ciro's Speakeasy and Supper Club This intimate hideaway has a 4-week-old Campari-barrel-aged Negroni on the menu for dinner. Don't forget to save room for dessert, aka the Sbagliato cocktail featuring Champagne, berry-infused Campari and sweet vermouth. It's best to call ahead for reservations. 2109 Bayshore Blvd., Tampa. 813-251-0022, cirostampa.com.

Fly Bar & Restaurant Alongside the original recipe and its spins on the OG (like a coconut-washed Boulevardier), Fly Bar spotlights other playful Negroni concoctions, including a cross between the Kingston Negroni and the Trinidad Sour. It's got the boldness of a Negroni, but mellowed with tropical flavors. The year-round haunt plans to donate its proceeds to the Fisher House Foundation. 1202 N. Franklin St., Tampa. 813-275-5000, flybarandrestaurant.com.

Haven Negronis on tap offering a splendid blend of Fords Gin, Campari and sweet vermouth. Even better: Haven manager Hunter Bryant and the bar crew are set to showcase many specialty sweet vermouths throughout the week, and you can even try a Negroni made with the Glenfiddich 14 (yes, a Scotch Negroni is delicious). You're definitely in good hands at this stylish retreat. 2208 W. Morrison Ave., Tampa. 813-258-2233, haventampa.com.

Repeal 18 Another Red Light Negroni, alongside the Florida Negroni — composed of the drink's three staple ingredients, plus the addition of grapefruit liquor. While you're there, be sure to get creative with Campari and experiment with all of the whiskey that Repeal 18 boasts. The Westchase cocktail lounge reportedly carries the second largest whiskey selection in town. 9882 W. Linebaugh Ave., Tampa. 813-926-6746, repeal-18.com.
