The food and drink artisans, printmakers and other creatives behind the popular, monthly Indie Flea market are relocating their local goods to a new venue: Armature Works

The restored, mixed-use Armature Works building — not far from the Rialto Theatre, Indie Flea’s original location adjacent to Hidden Springs Ale Works in Tampa Heights — has made room for the market at the Gathering, its biggest indoor event space at 1910 N. Ola Ave.

Started two years ago, Indie Flea hosted one last showcase at the Rialto this past weekend. Next year, operations are set to resume every third Sunday of the month, but the first 2018 date inside Armature Works (where The Heights Public Market is also taking shape) has yet to be announced.

According to a statement from Indie Flea co-founder Seanissey Loughlin, the Gathering’s 10,000 square feet will allow for even more vendors to participate in what’s already a sizable community-focused market.
