An extension of the James Beard Foundation, the Beard House has hosted a few of the region's local chefs, including Edison: Food + Drink Lab's Jeannie Pierola, over the last 30 years.
"This isn't just a career goal, this is a life goal," Benstock said in a statement. "To be a part of the James Beard House legacy is an absolute honor, especially at this stage in my career."
Benstock — who's in the process of expanding his modern Italian flagship in downtown St. Pete to include an open kitchen, two private dining areas and a booze license — is set to spearhead his dinner on July 18.
