Owner Jennifer Simmons answered a couple questions for me about her business.
What lead you to want to start your own coffee roasting company? And how long have you been in business?
Both my husband and I have always loved coffee and started drinking specialty coffee over 20 years ago. I bought my husband a small home roaster which he had for a few years and then we got him a larger home roaster due to our friends and family asking for his great coffee. When we started looking for a new business, we thought about creating an organic coffee roasting company right away because it is something we both love! We have officially been selling coffee since the beginning of 2010. Prior to that, we were getting our great tasting coffees roasted and tested by many people to determine which ones they liked the best.
What are the varieties that you offer? Where do the beans come from?
We offer many varieties both single origin (come from one country or region) and blends that are a combination of two or more single origin coffee beans. Our beans come from many different countries. The majority of them come from South and Central America, Africa and Indonesia.
