Jimmy’s Tacos is officially slinging eats in Ybor City, but the concept celebrating a grand opening celebration on Friday, January 3 at noon with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Ybor City Commerce. The new taqueria is located at 1604 N. 17th St. in Ybor.
Jimmy’s Tacos has a simple menu with rotating daily specials like its shredded beef cooked in a Guajillo chili taco.
The original Jimmy’s Tacos location opened in California in 1988, but when the family that owns and operates the taco stand moved to Florida in 2018, they had to keep the tradition going. Over the past year, they’ve served tacos at various markets and festivals throughout the Tampa Bay area before securing this brick and mortar Ybor location.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Ybor City Commerce, head to Jimmy’s for $2 tacos.
Jimmy’s Tacos is up and running daily from 11 a.m -10 p.m.
