Ready to sweat for the crown?

Saturday, June 29 at 3 p.m., King of the Coop is going to host a Take the Throne Challenge. Those brave enough will have to chow down on five tenders that are doused in Carolina Reaper sauce.

Competitors will be given a full platter to smack and a single water bottle.

If they can complete it in 10 minutes, they'll receive their choice of T-shirt or hat, a $20 gift card, and free ice cream at Revolution Ice Cream Co. right next door.

The sign-up sheet can be found at the counter of King of the Coop, located at 6607 N. Florida Ave. in Seminole Heights.
