Tampa's Spaghetti Warehouse is set to close after 25-plus years in business at historic Ybor Square.
The Ybor City restaurant, located just below the offices of Creative Loafing at 1911 13th St. N., will operate through Wednesday, March 9, with the closure taking effect the following day.
According to a statement from Spaghetti Warehouse spokesperson David Ayers, "We are working closely with everyone on our staff, whose hard work and dedication is appreciated and we thank them for their many contributions.”
The restaurant, known for its 15-layer lasagna, also thanked the diners who have flocked to its longtime location, which once was the warehouse for the V.M. Ybor cigar factory.
"To our many guests, we say thank you. We enjoyed serving you, your family and friends," Ayers's statement said. "And, it was our pleasure to share in the celebrations that took place over countless lunches and dinners, not to mention birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions."
Tampa housed the franchise's only Florida restaurant. Others are in Texas, Ohio, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
