New upscale restaurant, Meat Market, is officially open in Hyde Park Village

A new date night destination just hit the village.

Meat Market Tampa is now open for happy hour and dinner at 1606 W. Snow Ave. in Hyde Park Village. Now in soft opening stages, the MMT will be open for happy hour from 4-7 p.m., and dinner beginning at 5 p.m. 

According to the restaurant's website, there will be a hefty cocktail menu with classics like Moscow mules and negronis, alongside house creations like Meat Market Mai Tai, a fid old fashioned and Pretty in Pink which is made with vodka, grapefruit, pomegranate, rose ginger and prosecco. Oh, champagne will be in abundance as well. 

True to its name, Meat Market will be serving up cuts like a 7-ounce wagyu filet mignon, 32-ounce prime porterhouse and a 30-ounce wagyu beef tomahawk ribeye as well as other signature steaks weighing in from 6-16 ounces. Not into fat slabs of meat? Offerings also include fish dishes, oysters, tuna tartare and a 6-ounce lobster tail. 

Sounds like On Swann and Timpanos will be in the running for date night location in the village. You can snag reservations though bit.ky/MeatMarket_Tampa. The restaurant offers up table and booth seating, and serious mood lighting.

Lunch is slated to launch in November. More details to come as Meat Market finds its footing in Hyde Park Village.
