
Head to Seminole Heights' Jug & Bottle Dept. from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday for a locally focused, pop-up ice cream social.
Set to scoop samples on site, the Tampa-based Milk Crate Creamery will showcase four homemade flavor mashups that incorporate products from local vendors and businesses.
Commune + Co.'s Cold Brew Coffee Ice Cream features beans by King State Coffee, Maven Stout brownies from Barley Mow Brewing Company and Pinellas Chocolate Company chocolate bits, while Barley Mow's Lord of the Gourd/Brown Sugar ice cream, paired with Urban Canning Company apple stout jam, highlights tons of pumpkin, spices and molasses cookies.
Strawberry vanilla jam from Urban Canning will also accompany the vegan Callilope/Pink Grape Fruit Sorbet, which offers a prickly pear add-in. Maple ice cream, with Fodder & Shine bacon bark and Urban Canning pear and habanero jam, will round out the afternoon's offerings.
In addition to the sweets, Barley Mow's Dark Track Imperial Milk Stout, aged on whole Madagascar vanilla beans, will be tapped. The full-bodied stout weighs in at 10 percent alcohol by volume, and growler fills will be available.
