Um, so, I know this month is almost over and all, but did you catch Datz Restaurant Group’s Morgan Zuch in the latest edition of The Tasting Panel?

Billed as “the most widely circulated trade publication in the beverage industry,” the monthly magazine did an interview with Zuch — the bartending maven who oversees the beverage programs for Suzanne and Roger Perry’s independent restaurant fam (Datz, Dough and Roux in Tampa, plus two other in-the-works projects, Dr. BBQ and Datz St. Pete) and was a 2017 finalist in the Star of the Bar regional competition — for its December issue.

It’s always worth checking out what national outlets have to say about the culinary offerings here in Tampa Bay — not to mention how locals are impacting the larger conversation about food and drink. So give the Q&A a read, will ya?

Highlights include how Zuch found her passion for the cocktail experience, her secret to keeping things interesting behind the bar at Datz, and the recipe for a dreamy-looking concoction: Apple Butter Jeans, Booze with the Fig.
