Naked Farmer reopens its flagship location in downtown St. Petersburg next week.
After nearly nine months of renovations, the doors at 200 Central Avenue reopen on Friday, March 27.
The local chain’s $1.5 million overhaul expanded its original kitchen by about 400 square feet, added a new exhaust system and refreshed the interior, per St. Pete Rising.
The restaurant returns with the same build-a-bowl, veggie-forward menu that helped it grow from a single St. Pete location in 2020 into a rapidly expanding regional chain.
The restaurant leans hard into the farm-to-table concept, sourcing much of its produce from Florida farms and building menus around seasonal produce. Plates typically start with a protein or veggie base, then grow with grains, greens and “harvest sides.”
On the current winter menu: dishes like the Harvest Chop Salad with winter citrus farro and candied pecans, or heartier plates like rosemary-roasted chicken with mac and cheese, roasted sweet potatoes and maple-sriracha sauce.
Since planting roots downtown, Naked Farmer has spread across Florida with locations in Tampa, Sarasota, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Sunrise and Coral Gables, with a newer outpost in Charlotte. Planned locations include Nashville, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens and Wesley Chapel.
St. Pete’s second Naked Farmer location is expected to open later this summer at 2631 4th St. N., the former home of EVOS.
Naked Farmer in downtown St Pete will be open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
