IHOP's National Pancake Day celebration, started in 2006, has returned.

For an 11th year, IHOP restaurants across the world are flipping pancakes with a purpose.

In celebration of the restaurant chain's National Pancake Day, patrons are encouraged to dine in at their neighborhood IHOP between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday for a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes (limited to one per guest). They'll have the option to donate to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals or other designated local charities in return.

IHOP has raised almost $20 million for charity since Pancake Day's start. This year, its goal is $3.5 million.
