Initially slated for a fall 2019 opening, Tampa Asian fusion and cocktail bar Shibui has postponed opening until early 2020.

The concept located at 912 N. Franklin St. in Tampa and helmed by celebrity chef Fabio Viviani and the Nocturnal Hospitality Group shared that news on social media.

Nocturnal is the team that brought downtown Tampa Mole Y Abuela and Osteria in 2019, so anticipation for Shibui is high.

Shibui's Instragam has consistently posted renderings and menu teasers of colorful dishes like bao buns, noodle dishes and a decadent Asian Bloody Mary with Haku vodka, Janmai sake, and basil garnished with olives, seaweed and jalapeño.

Known for their fondness of outdoor seating (hello, Mole Y Abuela's rooftop patio), Shibui will also host a covered patio bar along with table seating prime for brunch.

Although we were expecting the concept sooner rather than later, good things come to those who wait.
