North Hyde Park’s Rome + Fig has had its debut on the horizon since last January, but the new globally-inspired bistro will finally open its doors in a couple weeks.
The new restaurant, located at W. Fig St. and Rome Ave. (301 N. Rome Ave. for your GPS), now says it will host a soft-opening on July 21 July 29.
The menu, which has been online for months, features options like steak, seafood risotto, pan-seared scallops and lamb chops, tuna tartare, Asian-style wings, octopus fritters, lumpia (traditional Filipino egg rolls) and bison meatballs. Diners should expect to drop anywhere from $25-$40 on entrees.
Diners should also expect a full bar, with a cocktail program and a full range of wines and beer.
Rome + Fig will also plans to host a weekend brunch offering, including plates like chicken and waffles, fish and grits, stuffed French toast and a Chinese 5 Spice burger; ranging in price from $14-$20.
Check out the week one and week two prix fixe menus below.
UPDATED: 07/21/20 6 p.m. Updated to show a new soft opening date and to include prix fixe menus from the first two weeks.
