New Puerto Rican bakery La Bahía now open in Tampa

Eat some carbs for a good cause.

Just last month, La Bahía made its debut at at 214 E. Bearss Ave. in Tampa. The Puerto Rican bakery and cafe is determined to live its motto, “sharing hope through pan sobao and café con leche,” to the fullest. 

A bakery operating more like a non-profit organization, La Bahía’s website states that 100% of the profits goes toward local and international missions.

Charity aside, its menu consists of Puerto Rican sweets like quesitos, guava pastries and mallorca, alongside sips like café con leche amongh other espresso drinks. La Bahía also has a full breakfast and lunch menu filled with other classic Hispanic breakfast items, as well as over 13 sandwich options— although they are all served on its homemade Puerto Rican bread. 

Hours for the concept are 7 a.m.- 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m.- 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and closed on Sunday.
