Initially slated for an October 2018 opening, followed by an early December debut, Counter Culture, located at 2909 W. Bay to Bay Blvd. has finally begun serving eats in Tampa. Chef Jeannie Pierola's third concept pays homage to the former resident Pach's Place with "classic counter dining and its barstool kinship between diners and the kitchen," according to the restaurant's website

The five-time James Beard Award semifinalist chef is serving up elevated dishes within the 3,700-square-foot restaurant, which features a 14-foot wood-fired grill customized with a wood-fired oven and cast-iron plancha stations. Roll-up garage doors lining the front of the concept create an indoor-outdoor full-liquor bar when raised and host nearly uninterrupted views of the Bay.

Counter Culture is now solely offering dinner service seven days a week, and will soon begin offering breakfast, lunch and brunch dishes once the concept finds its footing.

Hours for the restaurant are 5 p.m.-10 p.m. seven days a week. By the way, Counter Culture is taking reservations for New Year's Eve so you can grab your last bites of the year at the new joint in town.
