A new specialty sandwich shop has opened up in St. Petersburg, and its name is as big as its personality. BombWich is making a bang at 2700 34th St. N.—in the same plaza as JinJu Korean Grill & Sushi—with its slogan, "not fast food, bombfood."

The menu is loaded with sandwich, wrap, panini and salad options. Customers with a hearty appetite can snag The Don, an Italian sub (salami, mortadella, capicola and ham along with provolone) with the works, or a fat meatball and marinara sub with homemade meatballs. BombWich also constructs chicken, tuna and veggie sandos. When it comes to decor, think comic book sound effects with mural pops like "SMASH!" "POW!" and "KRUNCH" above booth seating and on tabletops.

The new restaurant celebrates its grand opening on Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. with giveaways and prizes.

BombWich's hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Mon.-Sat. and closed on Sunday.
