In late October, Trattoria-style Italian eatery and pizzeria Fortunato’s opened its newest restaurant in downtown Gulfport. This is its third location in the Tampa Bay area, with other Fortunato’s open in South Pasadena and Seminole.
Fortunato’s Gulfport location will continue dishing out comforting Italian entrees that its other locations have been serving for years, like eggplant parmigiana, fresh Sicilian pizzas, pressed paninis, and appetizers like calamari and house salads. Alongside its stacked menu, is a full bar offering a variety of wine and beer.
This new Fortunato’s spot opened in the former intimate indoor-outdoor space of Mexican restaurant Chapo Taco. It’s surrounded by fellow Italian food-driven restaurants in downtown Gulfport, like Pia's Trattoria and Siri's Gourmet Burgers & Pizza.
Since an outdoor Gulfport eatery without live entertainment is practically unheard of, this new Fortunato’s location will also host live music.
Fortunato’s Gulfport is open 2 p.m.- 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at 3038 Beach Blvd. S.
