If you're looking to eat at a restaurant to avoid cooking at home, then Nine Spices' new restaurant might not be for you, considering its hotpots and tabletop grills quite literally put you to work.

According to its Facebook, Nine Spices' new Clearwater location celebrated its grand opening on Wednesday, April 6.

Located at 2543 Countryside Blvd., guests have the opportunity to utilize the hotpot-style soup burners, Korean BBQ grills in the center of the table, or both at the same time (although that requires a good deal of multitasking.)

There are a wide variety of raw meats, vegetables, seafoods, dumplings and noodles you can cook either in your hot pot broth or on the shared tabletop grill. And, yes, there's a conveyor belt that deliver the ingredient right to you.

Online reviews of its flagship Pinellas Park location state that the restaurant can get a little busy, so it might be best to make reservations before visiting its newly-opened Clearwater eatery.

And proceed with caution when selecting your desired meat and seafood, as Nine Spices—like most buffet-style restaurants—charge extra if you waste food. If you’re confused on how the cook-it-yourself restaurant works, don’t hesitate to ask your server for more details.

All-you-can-eat hotpot and Korean BBQ costs about $30 per person, but is slightly cheaper if you opt for just one of the cooking methods.

Clearwater’s Nine Spices is now open from 1 p.m.-1 a.m. every day at 2543 Countryside Blvd. Its flagship Pinellas Park location at 6851 66th St. N has the same operating hours.
