Lasting until Sunday, Sept. 21, the Second Annual Dunedin Restaurant Week gives the region an opportunity to experience the city through its food, and to win neat prizes along the way.

The weeklong event, according to a press release, celebrates Florida-fresh fare, fall menu items and global cuisines, ranging from Mexican to French.

Diners may stop into Sea Sea Riders, Café Alfresco, The Living Room on Main, Casa Tina, Pan y Vino, Bon Appetit, The Black Pearl, Tony's Pizza, Clear Sky Draught House, Pensare Italian Bistro or Marker 8 for special offers each day.

While chowing, diners are encouraged to complete a registration form to enter Restaurant Week's prize drawing. Entrants could land a three-day, two-night staycay at Beso Del Sol Resort, as well as other prizes and dining deals valid at Dunedin nosheries.

Best Restaurant, Best Chef and Best Promoter, part of the yearly event's Platinum Plate Awards, will be determined by eaters who cast votes throughout the week, too.

Taste of Dunedin, which is Restaurant Week's kick-off party along Main Street, starts at 1 p.m. With more details to be announced, this year's prize and Plate Awards winners will be announced during a Finale Party Sept. 21. Winners don't need to be present to claim their accolades.

The Downtown Dunedin Merchants Association and Homeless Emergency Project will receive proceeds from the parties.
