Soul Food Street Kitchen arrives at Tampa hangout Heights Public Market

It's the newest vendor to occupy the rotating stall.

Heights Public Market vendor chismis & co. recently served its final Filipino meals at Armature Works. But the market's rotating stall in Tampa Heights didn't stay vacant for long. A new tenant, Soul Food Street Kitchen, has taken over with a bill of down-home cuisine from owner-chef Joe Dodd.

Customers can expect comfort food dishes like shrimp and sausage gumbo, Nashville hot boiled peanuts, and chicken and dumplings, as well as the Not Yo' Mama's Meatloaf Sammich.

Soul Food Street Kitchen will occupy the rotating stall for four months. Before chismis & co., the ever-evolving spot was home to the Surf and Turf food truck.
