Last week, Lucky's Market announced the imminent closure of 20 stores across the state of Florida, including the Tyrone Square Mall location.

With locations up for grabs, others chains aren't wasting any time scooping up stores. According to Tampa Bay Business Journal, Publix is in the process of buying five of the leases. The publication reported that the stores on Publix's radar are Clermont, Naples, Neptune Beach, Orlando, and Ormond Beach; an Aldi rep added that his chain is in negotiation for several Lucky's market locations.

Although the St. Pete location's fate has yet to be determined, the replacement will have to stand among Dick's Sporting Goods, PetSmart and other major retailers that line the outside of the mall.

Until then, swing by the St. Pete location to snag discounted items during the liquidation sale leading up to the February 12 closing.
