The Local Draught House, a Tampa-based neighborhood bar chain known for its close-knit family feel and locally-made brews, finally expands across the bridge as it prepares to open its first St. Petersburg location.
According to an Instagram post by St. Pete Rising, Local Draught House’s St. Pete bar will open at 1584 Central Ave.— in the space formerly occupied by McAuley’s Pub. This Irish sports bar showed no signs of closing, as its sign is still up at the storefront in downtown St. Petersburg’s EDGE district.
Although its St. Pete location has had a “Coming Soon” tag on on the Local Draught House website for a while now, there is no projected grand-opening date yet.
This will be the Local Draught House’s fifth Tampa Bay location, and joins other bars in downtown Tampa, Carrollwood, Oldsmar and the USF Tampa area.
